Turner Feature Animation was Turner's animation unit headed by David Kirschner and Paul Gertz. It was established in 1991 following the success of Disney animated films. Spun off from the feature film division of Hanna-Barbera Productions, the four animated movies The Pagemaster, Flash & Dash, Shelly and Cats Don't Dance were produced under Turner's animation unit. After releasing its only four feature films, the studio closed in 1997 due to the merger with Turner and Time Warner in 1996 and was folded into Warner Bros. Feature Animation, which was then merged into Warner Bros. Animation. Some of the Turner Feature Animation staff went on to join Tinseltown Animation, respectively.
