The White Cat is a 1976 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. It is loosely based on the 1698 French fairy tale of the same name by Madame d'Aulnoy.

The White Cat was released on November 23, 1976, to positive critical reception and became a box office success, earning $55 million against a budget of $7.5 million during its initial theatrical run. It has since grossed a total of $149 million after two re-releases in 1982 and 1992, An intermediate follow-up, The White Cat II, was released directly-to-DVD on October 14, 2003.

The White Cat premiered on VHS and LaserDisc on August 19, 1992 as part of the Walt Disney Classics series. It was re-released on VHS as part of the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection on April 6, 1999.

The White Cat was released on DVD on May 21, 2002, as a standard edition. It was released on DVD for the second time in 2006 as a 30th Anniversary Edition, with digitally restored picture and sound. The Blu-ray version was released for the first time along with the third DVD release on August 2, 2011.

On August 23, 2016, a 40th-anniversary edition of The White Cat was released on Blu-ray alongside its sequel in a "2-Movie Collection".
