Scott and Ruby 2 is a 2010 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The second installment in the Scott and Ruby franchise and the sequel to 2004's Scott and Ruby, it was directed by Chris Williams from a screenplay by Tab Murphy, Don Hall, Williams, and Dan Fogelman and a story by Murphy, Hall and Williams. Tobey Maguire, Avril Lavigne, Sean Astin, Hayden Panettiere, Justin Long, Seann William Scott and Bonnie Hunt reprise their roles from the first film alongside new additions to the cast including Zooey Deschanel, Jeffrey Tambor, Billy Nighy, Dakota Fanning, and Kurt Russell. In the film, Scott and Ruby's new lives turn upside down when a menacing rock star has plan to threatens to rule the whole world, so they going on a long and epic journey to stop her from ruling the world.
Plans for a sequel began in October 2004, following the success of the first film. It was announced a few months later that the film was being directed by Williams, who did work on the first film as story artists, while Clark Spencer remained as producer. New ideas were also conceived along with some unused ideas from the first film. The film since underwent many several changes, such as rewrites, directors, and release dates. The film is also the first sequel produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios in eleven years since Fantasia 2000 (1999).
Scott and Ruby 2 held its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on August 14, 2010, and was released in the United States on August 27, 2010 in in 3D formats. It received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and was a box office success, grossing $689.5 million worldwide against a budget of $100 million. A sequel, titled Scott and Ruby: The Legendary Friendship, was released on August 2, 2019.

Scott and Ruby 2 had its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on August 14, 2010. It was released in the United States on August 27, 2010. The theatrical release of the film was preceded by an original short film Tick Tock Tale.
Originally scheduled to be released in November 2008, Scott and Ruby 2 has had several additional release dates since it was first announced. It was delayed to November 2009 after Disney's acquisition of Pixar, with Bolt taking its November 2008 slot. The film was later delayed to June 18, 2010, to give the production team more time to finish the film, and was then pushed back for one final time to August 27, 2010, with Toy Story 3 taking over its June 2010 slot.

On December 7, 2009, the film's teaser trailer was released online, and was later attached to The Princess and the Frog, which went into theaters two days later. On February 28, 2009, the film's first full trailer was released in front of Alice in Wonderland, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and How to Train Your Dragon. The second and final full trailer was released on June 16, 2010 and was attached into Toy Story 3. The film was backed by a large marketing campaign, with various merchandise becoming available throughout 2010. In August 2010, Kohl's began selling Scott, Ruby, Simon, Felicity, Jayda, and Elaina plush toys as a part of their Kohl's Cares merchandise program.
Scott and Ruby 2 was promoted with airings of the first film on several channels in the weeks preceding the film's release, including Disney Channel, Disney XD, and ABC Family. Sneak peeks of Scott and Ruby 2 were also revealed, primarily on Disney Channel. During that same week of the airing of the first film, Felicity Deed was hosting the entire Disney Channel line-up while Jayda Rocks hosting the entire Disney XD line-up, showing up in intermittent times between commercials.

A video game based on the film was released by Disney Interactive Studios on August 24, 2010 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, Windows, and Mac OS X.

Scott and Ruby 2 was released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 21, 2010. It was later released on Blu-ray 3D in May 2011. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version was released on July 23, 2019.
