JeremyToons is an American animated comedy television series created by Jeremy Carpenter. Produced by JeremyWorks Studios as their first television series, the series originally premiered on May 14, 1988 on CBS, then it was later picked up by Fox Broadcasting Company's Fox Kids on September 8, 1990, and then it was aired on Jumper Channel on January 15, 2005.

Jeremy Carpenter created a cartoon character for Jeremy LTD.'s production logo, as well as an unpublished comic book series in the 1970s, and later reluctantly pitched the series to CBS as a Saturday morning cartoon. The network gave the staff a large amount of creative freedom, with the writers targeting both children and adults.

JeremyToons is a variety show, with short skits featuring a large cast of characters. While the show had no set format, the majority of episodes were composed of three short mini-episodes, each starring a different set of characters, and bridging segments. Hallmarks of the series included its music, satirical social commentary, pop culture references, character catchphrases, and innuendo directed at an adult audience.

The show was commercially successful, establishing Jeremy as the mascot of J LTD.. The longest-running American animated series, its popularity has made it a successful franchise, and adaptations into other media, such as comics, video games, and films.

Animation[]

The series' first four seasons were produced by Games Animation, and was produced in association with Wang Film Productions in Taiwan, Mr. Big Cartoons in Australia, and Fil-Cartoons in the Philippines. However, due to Viacom bought Games Animation, production was switched from the studio to Klasky Csupo for season 5 to 10. After the third season ended, the production went to Film Roman. Despite Film Roman being the animation company for Season 11 and on, JeremyWorks encountered difficulties with Film Roman, bringing in Klasky Csupo temporarily to animate the episodes. They animated My Day with Bella/Mall Maze/Voices for the Mouse, The Robot Cars/The Prince and the Twin/One Magic Touch, Goin' Nuts/Good Fox, Bad Fox/Forgotten Land, and Escape from Amelia before the animation company went back to Film Roman.
