Comedy TV: 2nd Channel is a 1995 animated comedy film and the sequel to 1982's Comedy TV. In this film, taking place 2 years after the events of the first film, Tiffany, David, Eric and Jenny gained their fame from the accidental broadcast of Comedy TV with assistance from Eddy, Paul's best friend, and Kenyon, a sarcastic stoner. However the network has financial troubles and has Paul to make a decision to hire new people who are Jimmy who is a dancer as well as Trisha that ends up being the new worker in the network. As they trying to kept the channel up.

The film was released in the United States theatrically in theaters on July 13, 1995. It was followed by Comedy TV: Third Act in July 11, 2006.

Comedy TV: 2nd Channel was originally going to be released on November 22, 1995, but on January 1995, the movie's release date was changed to July 13, 1995 to avoid competition with Toy Story.

Home media[]

Comedy TV: 2nd Channel was released onto VHS and Laserdisc on October 19, 1995 by Paramount Home Entertainment. The film was later released onto DVD on April 17, 1998. On May 13, 2002, celebrating Comedy TV 20th Anniversary, "Comedy TV 1-2" set was released, featuring Comedy TV and Comedy TV: 2nd Channel.

In 2009, Paramount released the film via iTunes and the PlayStation Store.

On April 11, 2012, the film was released on Blu-ray to celebrating Comedy TV 30th Anniversary.

On August 29, 2017, Comedy TV: 2nd Channel, as well as Comedy TVComedy TV: Third ActComedy TV: The Wrap Up, and Comedy TV: The Final Channel, were re-released on a three disc trilogy collection.
