A Jaylan Movie is a 2012 American animated comedy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on Jerry Crawford's books, Jaylan. The film is a revival/reboot of the Jaylan franchise and the TBD theatrical Jaylan film released (either animated and overall), and the first (and so far only) in the Disney Animated Canon. It was directed by Ron Clements and Jon Musker, and produced by Peter Del Vecho and Jerry Crawford from a screenplay by Crawford, Chris Williams and Jared Bush based on a story by Crawford, Clements and Musker. The film features the voices of Quinton Flynn, Tom Kenny, and Billy West reprising their roles from the original series, with Avril Lavigne (replacing Grey DeLisle), Michelle Pfeiffer (replacing TBD), Michael Cera, Craig Robinson, Alan Tudyk and Christine Baranski. In the film, Jaylan accidently get sent to a different world, as he embarks on a long journey along with his fellow companion to stop an villainous queen from destroying this world as well as capturing his best friend Larry.
The film was announced shortly before Jerry Crawford sold the rights to the characters to Disney in May 2007. The film premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on March 3, 2012, and was released in the United States on March 23. The film was well-received by critics for its animation, musical score, writing, and character development and was a box office success, grossing over $744 million against a budget of $70 million.

Release[]
A Jaylan Movie premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 3, 2012, and received a general release in theaters on March 23. The film was initially scheduled to be released on December 16, 2011, but was pushed forward to March 23, 2012 to give the production team more time to finish the film, with Tyler & Marky taking the December 2011 slot. The film's theatrical release was accompanied by a short animated film based on the 2010 film Tangled, Tangled Ever After, which accompanied Beauty and the Beast 3D back in January 2012.
